Ingredients:
500g beef cut into cubes 1 cup tomato sauce 1/4 cup soy sauce 1 cup water 5-6 cloves gralic, minced 1 onion, sliced 2 potatoes cut into cubes 1 big carrot, cut into cubes 2-3 Bay leaves Sat & pepper to taste Beef bullion (optional) Oil for sauteing Procedures: 1. Pre-heat a pan with oil. Saute garlic and onion until soft and translucent. 2. Add beef and render till golden brown. 3. Add tomato sauce, soy sauce, water and bay leaves. Season with salt and pepper according to your taste. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes on a low-medium heat. 4. After 30 minutes, check if the beef is cooked and soft. Then add potatoes and carrots. Simmer again for another 10 minutes or until the potatoes and carrots are soft. Then remove from the heat. 5. Transfer in a serving dish and ready to serve. Enjoy!
Beef Mechado

Beef Mechado
500g beef cut into cubes 1 cup tomato sauce 1/4 cup soy sauce 1 cup water 5-6 cloves gralic, minced 1 onion, sliced 2 potatoes cut into cubes 1 big carrot, cut into cubes 2-3 Bay leaves Sat & pepper to taste Beef bullion (optional) Oil for sauteing Procedures: 1. Pre-heat a pan with oil. Saute onion and garlic till soft and tender. 2. Add mince beef and continue sauteing till the beef is dry and golden brown. Add all the spices. Mix it well. 3. Add chopped tomato, tomato puree, beef cube, red beans and water. Mix it well. 4. Season with salt and pepper. Adjust according to your taste. 5. Continue simmering on a low heat for 30 minutes. Stir occassionally. 6. Once the sauce has thickened, remove from the heat and ready to serve. 7. Best serve with rice or as toppings for nachos with cheese and sour cream. Enjoy!
