Ingredients:
1kg beef, cut into cubes 4 cups of water or beef stock 1/4 cup vinegar 1 tbsp.cornstarch dissolve in 2 tbsp. water 1 beef bullion 4 cloves garlic, mince 1 onion, sliced 1/4 cup green peas 2 pieces potatoes, cut into big cubes 1 large carrot, cut into cubes Salt and pepper to taste Oil for frying Marinade: 5-6 cloves garlic, minced 1/2 cup soy sauce 1 1/2 tbsp. brown sugar 3 pcs. bay leaves 1 tsp. whole peppercorn Procedures: 1. Combine all the ingredients for the marinade and marinate the beef for an hour. 2.  Heat up a pan with oil then fry the carrots and potatoes. Set aside. Using the same pan, fry the beef for 3-5 minutes until brown.  Drain and set aside the marinade. 3.  Using the same pan, sauté garlic and onion until soft and tender.  Then add beef and continue sautéing for another 3-5 minutes. 4. Pour water (or stock), remaining marinade, vinegar and beef bullion  and simmer on a medium heat for 30-40 minutes until the beef is tender. 5. Once the beef is cooked, season with salt and pepper according to your taste. Pour the cornstarch mixture to thicken the sauce. Then add the green peas, carrots and potatoes. Simmer for another 3-5 minutes. 6.  Removed from the heat and transfer in a serving plate ready to serve.  Best serve with rice. Enjoy!
