1. Caramelise the 1/2 cup sugar + 1 tbsp. water in low heat. Make sure to mix it occasionally by turning the pan in circular motion.
2. In a bowl, beat the egg yolks using a wire whisk. Then add the condensed milk, evaporated milk, sugar and vanilla. Mix well till the sugar is dissolved.
3. When the caramel is ready, transfer it to the prepared llanera/foil. Pour the egg mixture to the foil.
4. Steam for 45min. to 1 hour on a low heat. To test if the leche flan is cooked, insert a stick in the middle of the leche flan if it comes out clean, then it’s ready. Remove from heat and let it cool down completely before serving.
