500g Glutinous flour
2 tbsp. Oil
2 1/4 cups Water
1 1/2 cup brown Sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. Ube flavouring (optional)
  1. Combine water and brown sugar in a large bowl. Mix it well on a till the sugar is dissolved. Add oil and mix it well.
  2. Place the glutinous flour in a bowl, then add the sugar mixture. Mix it well until smooth and lump free.
  3. Grease a round baking tray and transfer the mixture. Steam for 50 to 60 minutes. Let it cool down for a minimum of 2 hours or leave it overnight in the fridge. Tikoy is now ready for frying. Enjoy!
