Beef Adobo with Gata


500g stewing beef

1/3 cup vinegar

1/3 cup soy sauce

1 cup water

1 can (2 cups) Coconut milk

5-6 cloves garlic, crushed

1-2 Basil leaves

1/2 tbsp. Whole pepper Salt (if needed)

1 tbsp. sugar (optional)


1. In a sauce pan, combine beef, soy sauce, vinegar water, basil leaves, crushed garlic and pepper corn. Simmer on a medium-low heat for 10-15 minutes.

2. After 15 minutes, add the coconut milk and continue simmering until the sauce thickens. Add salt and sugar if needed according to your taste.

3. Once the sauce is thick and beef is soft, remove from the heat and ready to serve. Enjoy!
