Cassava Cake


2 packs (1 lb) grated cassava

1 can evaporated milk

1/2 can condensed milk

1 can coconut milk

1/2 cup grated cheese

1/2 cup melted butter

2 eggs

1/2 cup sugar

1 bottle Macapuno (optional)


1 can coconut milk

1/2 can condensed milk

2 tbsp. sugar

2 tbsp. flour

1/4 cup grated cheese

1 egg white


1. Prepare an oven proof dish and bush it with oil. Pre-heat the oven to 175C.

2. Place the grated cassava. Add 1/2 can condensed milk and the rest of the ingredients. Mix it well, make sure no lumps left.

3. Transfer into the prepared dish and bake it for 1 hour.

4. For the toppings, combine sugar and flour together and mix it well. Place it into a heated sauce pan then add the condensed milk, mix it well.

5. Add the coconut milk and grated cheese. Continue stirring on a low heat till the sauce thickens and remove from the heat. Set aside.

6. Once the cassava is cooked, pour the prepared toppings evenly and brush the egg whites on top.

7. Put it back in the oven and continue to bake for 5 to 10 minutes or till golden brown.

8. Let it cool down completely before serving. Enjoy!
