Pastillas, also known as Pastillas de Leche or Pastiyema is a milk-based confectionery (cadies) with origins in the town of San Miguel in Bulacan, Philippines.

Ingredients

1 can Condensed Milk
2 1/2 cups Powdered Skimmed milk
1/2 cup Sugar
2 tbsp. Melted Butter
Optional Flavours:
1 tbsp. Ube flavouring
Langka

Instructions

  1. Transfer the condensed milk in a mixing bowl. Add the ube flavouring, and butter and mix it well. Then add the powdered milk and mix thoroughly till it is dough-like consistency and until the mixture is well-binded. You can add more powdered milk if the mixture is very sticky or runny.
  2. Dab your hands with oil then scoop about 1 tbsp. of pastillas. Flatten the pastillas between your palms then place 1 marsmallow and seal the pastillas to cover the marsmallow.
  3. Roll the pastimallows in sugar. Continue the procedure till the pastillas and mallows are done.
  4. Place the pastimallows in small cupcake case and ready to serve. Enjoy!
