Almondigas with Cream of Mushroom




500g mince pork


1 onion, finely chopped


3-4 cloves garlic, minced


1/4 cup flour


1 egg


Salt & pepper to taste


oil for frying




1 can cream of mushroom soup


1/2 onion, chopped


2-3 cloves garlic, mince


2 tbsp. butter


Salt & pepper to taste


sliced mushrooms (optional)



1. Combine all the meatball ingredients in a mixing bowl. Mix it well.

2. Scoop a good amount of meat and form it into balls (size according to your preference). Continue the procedure until the meat mixture is consumed.

3. In a small sauce pan, pour oil and heat it up for frying. Deep fry the almondigas till golden brown. Placed the fried almondigas in a plate with paper towel to absorb the excess oil. Set aside.

4. In a separate pan, melt the butter. Sauté onion and garlic till soft and golden brown. You can add extra slices of fresh mushroom if you like while sautéing.

5. Pour the cream of mushroom soup and bring it to boil. Season with salt & pepper according to your taste. Remove from the heat.

6. Transfer the fried almondigas into a serving dish and pour the mushroom sauce on top. Ready for serving, enjoy!
