Braised Pork Belly
500g Pork Belly
3 tbsp. Shaoxing Wine
2 tbsp.Soy Sauce
3 pcs. Star Anise
3 Cloves Garlic
2 pcs Leeks (Sliced into 2 inch Sticks)
1) Season pork belly with salt and pepper.
2) Heat pan and oil then slightly sear pork until lightly browned. Then add in shaoxing wine. Then add water enough to cover pork belly, star anise, leeks and garlic then bring to a simmer. Skim to remove excess protein and fat.
3) When pork is almost fork tender add in soy sauce.
4) Season with salt and pepper
