Sinigang na Baboy
1 kg pork belly
1 medium onion, sliced
1-2 packs (22g/pack) sinigang mix with gabi
10-12 cups water
3/4 cup tomato sauce
1 pork cube
salt to taste
1-2 tsp. whole pepper corn
Talong/egg plant, sliced diagonally
Labanos/raddish, sliced diagonally (not kalabasa as I mentioned in the vid!)
1. In a cooking pot with water, place the pork belly, onion, tomato sauce, whole pepper corn & pork cube. Bring to boil and simmer for 30 min. or till the pork is tender.
2. When the pork is tender, add the sinigang mix and salt according to your desired taste. Add the sili, labanos and talong. Continue to simmer for 1-2 min.
3. Add the sitaw and simmer again for another 2 min.
4. Best serve with fish sauce and hot chilli as a condiments. Enjoy!
