Binagoongang Hipon with Gata


500g Sugpo (King Prawns)

1 cup Coconut Cream (Kakang gata)

1 pc. Onion, sliced

5 – 6 clove Garlic, minced

2 pcs. Tomatoes, sliced

1/4 cup Bagoong Alamang

Salt and Pepper to taste

Oil for sautéing

Any vegetables of your choice like talong, sitaw or kalabasa


1) Wash and devein the sugpo keep the shell on. Dry with paper towel. Set aside.

2) Pre-heat oil in a pan. Sauté garlic, onion and tomatoes well. Add bagoong alamang and continue sautéing till the bagoong is cooked.

3) Add coconut milk and Simmer till the sauce thickens. Add sugpo and vegetable of your choice and continue to simmer for 3-5 minutes. Remove from the heat and transfer in a platter. Enjoy!
