Tuna and Tofu Sisig. This is a healthier version of Sisig. Instead of using pork, I used tokwa (tofu) and tuna flakes.
3 cups chopped Fried Tofu
1 can Tuna Flakes in oil, drained
4 pcs. Siling Labuyo or Chili Flakes (optional)
3 cloves Garlic,minced
2 pcs. Onion, chopped
3/4 – 1 cup Mayonnaise
1/2 cup chopped Spring Onion
2 – 3 tbsp. Oil
Salt and Pepper to taste
- Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil in a heated pan. When onions are soft and tender, add the tuna and tofu sauté well.
- Add all remaining ingredients and let it simmer at medium to high heat until liquid is absorbed. Stir from time to time to avoid scorching.
- Season with salt, pepper and lemon according to your taste.
- Garnish with chopped spring onions for the colour. Best serve in a sizzling hot plate.
