Tuna and Tofu Sisig
Tuna and Tofu Sisig. This is a healthier version of Sisig. Instead of using pork, I used tokwa (tofu) and tuna flakes.
Servings: 4 -5
Ingredients
- 3 cups chopped Fried Tofu
- 1 can Tuna Flakes in oil drained
- 4 pcs. Siling Labuyo or Chili Flakes optional
- 3 cloves Garlic minced
- 2 pcs. Onion chopped
- 3/4 - 1 cup Mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup chopped Spring Onion
- 2 - 3 tbsp. Oil
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Lemon optional
Instructions
- Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil in a heated pan. When onions are soft and tender, add the tuna and tofu sauté well.
- Add all remaining ingredients and let it simmer at medium to high heat until liquid is absorbed. Stir from time to time to avoid scorching.
- Season with salt, pepper and lemon according to your taste.
- Garnish with chopped spring onions for the colour. Best serve in a sizzling hot plate.
