Kalderetang Talong

3 – 4 pcs. Talong, cut into 2 inches long
1 pc. Onion, chopped
2 pcs. Tomatoes, diced
4 – 5 cloves Garlic
100g Beef or Chicken Giniling
1 can Liver Spread
1/4 cup Soy Sauce
1 pc. Bell Pepper
1 cup Tomato Sauce
1/2 cup Water
Grated Cheddar Cheese
  1. Pre-heat pan with oil. Sauté onions and tomatoes till soft. Add garlic and sauté till the garlic is light brown. Add ground beef. And continue to sauté till the beef is brown.
  2. Add tomato sauce, water and liver spread. Simmer for 10 minutes till the sauce thickens. Season with soy sauce, salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Add sliced talong and simmer for 5 – 10 minutes or until the talong is soft but not overcooked.
  4. Add bell pepper and grated cheddar cheese. Simmer for another 2 minutes. Turn off the heat and ready to serve. Enjoy it with rice.
